Major design changes unveiled in the latest iPhone 16 series leak

The Apple iPhone 16 series will be launched sometime in the fall of 2024. However, with just a few months to go, the Cupertino-based tech behemoth has suffered a significant setback, with recent leaks suggesting dramatic design changes to the Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The revelations were made in a post on X by tipster Sonny Dickson, who also shared a few images to back up his claims.

What design changes are coming to the Apple iPhone 16?

According to Forbes, the images are of machined blanks, which are provided to peripheral makers. The leaked photographs show how far Apple has progressed in terms of redesign.

Among the most notable changes is the inclusion of the Action Button on all phones in the series. Last year, only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max received them; the button replaced the traditional mute button.

The new Action Button can be used as a single entry point to complete specified tasks. This button will assist both end users and app developers by allowing them to modify their products properly.

Apart from the Action button, there has been much speculation about the addition of a ‘Capture button’ to iPhones in previous years. It is unclear what purpose it will serve, although it could be tied to the camera, according to another Apple leaker, Instant Digital.

According to Forbes, this button may offer a “manual focus lock and a camera shutter.”
