The exorcist (1973)

Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary is a dark family drama cum supernatural horror movie. It strikes a nerve and revolves around a grieving family that is haunted by disturbing occurrences. Ali Aster’s debut as a writer and director skyrocketed with the success of the movie.

The Conjuring (2013)

The Conjuring tells the chilling but real story of world-famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. They were asked to help a family that was haunted by a dark, sinister spirit in a farmhouse. Oscar nominees Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson nailed the effective jump scares with believable weariness and terror.

The Shining (1980)
