Baldur’s Gate 3 won five awards at the 20th BAFTA Games Awards, which were announced Thursday evening in London. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Viewfinder, and Alan Wake 2 all received two awards each.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 lead the nominations with nine and ten, respectively. Nadji Jeter received the BAFTA for Best Performer in a leading role for his performance as Miles Morales in the latter. 40 games were nominated in 17 categories.
Baldur’s Gate 3 won awards for best game, music, narrative, and supporting actor for Andrew Wincott, who plays Raphael in the game.
It also received the EE Players’ Choice Award, the only BAFTA gaming award voted on by the public. Other winners included Dave the Diver and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
The BAFTA Games Awards 2024 ceremony was held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London’s Southbank Centre.
