In a first, a woman claims Apple watch helped in detecting her pregnancy before the clinical test

There have previously been reports of an apple watch saving a life. With its capabilities that measure blood oxygen levels, heartbeat, and other important health parameters, the device has helped individuals in a number of situations over the years. But in a first, a woman claimed in a post on the social media site Reddit that her pregnancy was discovered by the Apple Watch. “Usually, my resting heart rate is about 57, and my heart rate has increased to 72,” she posted.

Here is how the watch helped her

She explained in the post that she had trouble figuring out why her heartbeat had been racing for 15 days. She wrote in her essay that she often visited the gym and led a very healthy lifestyle.

She underwent a COVID-19 test in response to the anomalies in the heartbeat data, which came back negative. The woman claimed that despite taking tests for several illnesses, including fever, none of them revealed anything. After considerable consideration, she finally went online and made the decision to take a pregnancy test.

“I read sometimes this happens with early pregnancy and sure enough, instantly, the test was positive.” She also visited a doctor, who confirmed that she was definitely pregnant even though she had no outward signs of it. She, therefore, gave the Apple Watch credit for recognizing the minute changes. She concluded the message by advising people to keep an eye on the heartbeat alerts.
