Indian ODI captain Mithali Raj is back on top of the ICC Women’s ODI rankings list with 762 points. The next on the list is South Africa’s star batswoman, Lizelle Lee, with 758 points. Smriti Mandhana (9) is the other batter from India who is in the WODI Top 10 rankings.
Mithali Raj was rewarded for her excellent performance in the ODI series against England women. She was the leading runscorer in the ODI series, scoring 206 runs in 3 matches at a sublime average of 103. Mithali Raj scored three consecutive fifties in the series (72,59,75), including her match-winning innings in the 3rd ODI where INDW clinched a thrilling victory in the last over.
This is the ninth time Mithali is number one in the ICC batting rankings. West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor slipped to the fifth position. Taylor has also lost her No.1 position in the ICC all-rounder’s ranking to Australia’s Ellyse Perry. While Deepti Sharma is the lone allrounder from India in the Top 10 WODI allrounders category.
Australia’s Jess Jonassen tops the list in Women’s ODI bowling rankings. While Jhulan Goswami is the lone Indian bowler at the fifth position. While Deepti Sharma holds an identical slot in the all-rounder’s category.
Women’s T20I rankings
In the Women’s T20I Player Rankings, India’s talented opener Shafali Verma tops the chart with 759 points. The next on the list is Australia’s Beth Mooney with 744 points. While India’s left-handed elegant opener Smriti Mandhana has achieved her career-best ranking with 716 points. Mandhana is in the third position in the Top 10 T20I rankings. She looked in good touch in the T20I series against England women scoring 70 in the final match of the series.
Sophie Ecclestone tops the chart in Women’s T20I bowling rankings with 783 points. Followed by Shabnim Ismail, Sarah Glenn, Megan Schutt, and Jess Jonassen. India’s Deepti Sharma is at the sixth position while Poonam Yadav attained a No.8 position in the T20I bowling rankings.
