Manchester City on Thursday announced the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for a British record fee of £100 million on a six-year deal.

The transfer fee breaks the record as Greahlish became the most expensive English player ever. Jack Grealish became the world’s sixth £100m footballer after Neymar, Mbappee, Griezmann, Coutinho, and Joao Felix. Also, Grealish to Manchester City is the first £100m transfer fee paid by an English club.

Since, his senior debut in 2014, Grealish has made 213 appearances for Villa scoring 32 goals and laying on 43 assists. In the last season, he scored six goals and provided 10 assists. Grealish looked in great form in the little chances he got at Euro 2020. In the Round of 16 match against Germany, he came as a substitute and provided an assist to Raheem Sterling, and then crossing for Harry Kane to take England to a victory.
