"Still haven't left behind": MS Dhoni hints at returning for CSK next year

From “Definitely Not” To “still haven’t left behind”, Mahendra Singh Dhoni once again broke the internet and hinted that he would be donning the yellow once again in the Indian Premier League 2022. During the presentation ceremony, When commentator Harsha Bhogle said he can be proud of the legacy left behind in more than a decade for CSK, Dhoni said with a cheeky smile: “Still I haven’t left behind….”

“With two new teams coming in……we have to decide what is good for CSK. It’s not about me being there in top-three or four. It’s about making a strong core to ensure the franchise doesn’t suffer. The core group, we have to have a hard look to see who can contribute for the next 10 years,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation after winning the IPL 2021 title.

If any team deserved to win the IPL this year, it is KKR for the way they have played: MS Dhoni

The caravan of IPL 2021 finally came to its end and Chennai Super Kings emerged as the champions in the summit clash of the 14th edition of the IPL. The daddies army defeated Eoin Morgan’s Men in Purple and Gold by 27 runs on Friday (October 15) in Dubai. With this, MS Dhoni, became the oldest captain to win an IPL trophy.

“Yes we are the most consistent team looking at the stats but we have also lost finals. Not letting the opposition in is something we consciously wanted to improve. I hope CSK in the coming years will be known for that. We don’t really talk a lot. It’s more one-on-one. The moment you talk in a team room there is a bit of pressure. You can’t deliver without a good team. We also have great individuals as well.” added Dhoni

“Before I start talking about CSK, it’s important I talk about KKR. For the position they were in after the first phase, to perform this well, it’s very difficult. If any team deserved to win the IPL this year, it is KKR for the way they have played. I think the break helped them.” MS Dhoni on KKR.
