Super Bowl LVIII ticket sales surge

Prices for Super Bowl LVIII, which is regarded as one of the most important sporting events, increased shortly following the conference championship games in the last week of January. According to recent seasons’ patterns, Super Bowl 2024 ticket prices typically fall as the game approaches, after a sharp increase during the conference championship playoffs.

However, that is not the case this year, as Super Bowl LVIII ticket prices are rising, with numerous legitimate platforms selling tickets starting at $6,000.

The NFL initially offered Super Bowl tickets for roughly $2,000 after the conference championship playoffs. However, as of the publication of this article, the NFL’s official ticketing partners, including StubHub, Ticket King, and TicketMaster, claimed that the cheapest ticket was sold for $6,000 with just over 48 hours until the Super Bowl.

While the cost already seemed out of reach for the average person, the most expensive ticket for this year’s Super Bowl 2024 is priced at $45,000 on TicketMaster’s official website.

When converted to Indian currency, the lowest ticket sold for $6,000 is Rs 5 lakh, which is similar to the average monthly income of a normal guy. While the most expensive ticket costs $45,000, it equals Rs 37 lakh, which is seven times the average monthly salary in India.
