WhatsApp rolls out new features

WhatsApp has a slew of new features coming up. Here are all the new Whatsapp features you need to know about them.

In a few months, the messaging giant will let you use instant messaging on multiple devices, send single view messages. Will Cathcart and Mark Zuckerberg confirmed new updates and features that are in store. Used by over 3 billion people, the app is set to have a major update.

WhatsApp feature that many requested: Multi-device support

WhatsApp will now allow you to connect up to four devices at a time. Moreover, Will Cathcart, the WhatsApp head revealed that a separate dedicated iPad app is also in the making. “It’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we’ve solved this and we’re looking forward to getting it out soon!” stated Mark Zuckerberg.

Single view disappearing messages

Last year, the messaging platform introduced disappearing mode, where sent messages could have a seven-day timer. Despite that, this feature will let you share media that can be seen once, akin to Instagram and Snapchat.

This WhatsApp feature is set to release for beta users in a month or two. “We’re also about to start rolling out ‘view once,’ so you can send content and have it disappear after the person sees it,” said Zuckerberg.
