World Record! British explorer travels to all seven world wonders in less than 7 days

British adventurer Jamie McDonald, widely known as the “Adventureman,” has visited all seven of the new Seven Wonders of the World in less than 7 days, breaking an existing record.

According to the World Guinness Records, Jamie covered approximately 22,856 miles in 6 days, 16 hours, and 14 minutes while traversing four continents, landing in nine different countries, taking 13 flights, taking 16 trains, 9 buses, and 1 toboggan. The Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal in India, Petra in Jordan, the Colosseum in Rome, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Chichen Itza in Mexico, and Machu Picchu in Peru were among the places he visited.

Travelport, a global technology business that facilitates travel reservations for travel suppliers globally, created the challenge to test its platform Travelport+.

He needed to complete this challenge to collect money for his nonprofit organization, the Superhero Foundation. The funds will be used to support treatments, therapies, and equipment that are not readily accessible to families in need through the healthcare support system.

Jamie’s Journey: Exploring the 7 Wonders of the World

The Great Wall of China, a famous example of human ingenuity that runs for more than 13,000 kilometers, is where Jamie started his amazing journey. When he exited the Great Wall, the clock began keeping time. The Taj Mahal, a magnificent mausoleum that symbolizes enduring love, captured his attention when he went there later.

Jamie then traveled to Jordan to see the historic city of Petra, which is renowned for its stunning rose-red sandstone rock walls, tombs, and temples.

He took a flight to the Colosseum after exploring the ancient city. The Colosseum is a famous theatre with an antique gladiator that depicts Rome’s rich history. His next stop was Brazil, where he saw the magnificent Christ the Redeemer. The huge art deco masterpiece is the largest platform with a stunning outlook and is one of a kind.

Jamie continued his tour by seeing Machu Picchu in Peru, which is located 8,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains, before arriving at his final destination, Chichen Itza in Mexico. It is an archaeological site with pyramids, temples, and other architectural marvels that illustrate Mayan culture and civilization.
