What is the new bill all about?

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework has several goodwill projects. This bill can benefit people both the current and future generations. After all, a better and super-fast internet, clean drinking water, more roads, bridges, and public transit can make our lives much better. Additionally, it can reconnect communities that were previously divided by badly connected highways. The project will make American roads safer than ever before.

In addition to these, the bill proposes a $7.5 billion funding for nationwide electric vehicles. Moreover, $21 billion for cleaning up the environment including abandoned gas wells, mines, and brownfield sites. Additionally, it gave the confirmation that $205 billion is redirecting to coronavirus relief funds. “We’re excited to have a deal. We have most of the text done so, we will release it. And then we’ll update it as we get those last pieces finalized,” said Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema.

A rare Sunday Senate votes for the infrastructure bill 

The bipartisan agreement, after several months of discussions, gained the support of 17 Republicans, all democrats, and two independents. “We’ve reached a historic deal on infrastructure, folks. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal is the largest infrastructure bill in a century. It will grow the economy, create good-paying jobs. And set America on a path to win the future,” tweeted President Biden.

The bill is a key component of President Biden’s political agenda. Moreover, leaders from the democratic party plan to move ahead by sweeping a $3.5 trillion budget as a part of the reconciliation package. But, the Republicans oppose their efforts.
