What is the ”Likeable Person” trend?

One trend that has been a popular subject among platform users is the ‘Likable Person Test’, which is proving to be a viral trend based on the user’s replies to a series of questions and provides some information about their likability.

It determines how likeable a person is based on their responses to a series of questions on the platform. Some of the questions ask users how they would respond to real-life scenarios. The quiz contains 35 questions, and the answers appear instantly. For example, one of the questions asks users “I protect myself by keeping people in the dark about my motives.” They must indicate whether they agree or disagree by moving a bar.

Various other statements are  “I accept my personality, looks, and intelligence the way they are without becoming jealous of others”, “I often do favors for others”, and “I consider the feelings and opinions of others just as valuable as my own.”

The Likeable Person Test delivers more than just a percentage; it also includes a diagram that highlights the attributes that are most important for likeability. This map allows people to identify and recognize the qualities they like and dislike between themselves and someone else, which in turn, provides more insights into themselves and brings about personal growth.

The Likable Person Test is the latest in a long line of popular TikTok trends. According to Dexerto, 2024 has already seen a number of viral trends, such as the personality type test and the mental age quiz test. These interactive challenges have become a staple on the platform, allowing users to explore different facets of their identity while engaging with a global audience.

IDR Labs created the quiz, and in a statement, the company said, “One of the last cultural taboos is that some people are generally well-liked while others are less so. A meta-analysis of previous research revealed the seven elements that scientifically define a likeable person.”

The quiz uses a radar chart to rate users on seven elements: honesty, friendliness, humor, happiness, kindness, positivity, and tolerance.

It will also reveal how likable you are and by what percentage.
