Watch: Pro-Palestinian protesters burn the American flag in NYC and chant ‘death to America’

A viral video shows the moment a protestor set fire to an American flag outside Brooklyn Borough Hall.

X user Katie Smith uploaded the video with the comment, “A protester sets an American flag on fire outside Brooklyn Borough Hall as protesters rally on the steps.”

One protester brandished a sign that read, “Free Palestine OR ELSE.” Others were seen waving the Hezbollah flag and yelling “death to America.”

Protesters cause havoc in the US

On Monday, April 15, hundreds of anti-Israel protesters gathered in Lower Manhattan. They caused havoc on the Brooklyn Bridge, bringing traffic to a halt on the Manhattan-bound side. Police in riot gear were seen attempting to put the scene under control.

This is the most recent protest in the Big Apple after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. “A bunch of people already got over,” a protester on the bridge told the New York Post. “They started arresting people here.”

Only one arrest has been officially reported as of yet. However, almost two dozen other people were observed being handcuffed at the protest site. Many rotesters ran away when they spotted cops approaching.

Smoke was seen outside One Police Plaza at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Several protestors lighted fireworks and chanted pro-Palestinian slogans.

The NYPD stated that cops initially reacted to a scheduled protest on Wall Street around 2:15 p.m. It was organized by a group called Within Our Lifetime. However, marchers soon started advancing towards the bridge.

Some protestors even blocked a road leading to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Up to four cars were also visible, obstructing the road. Some people got out of their vehicles and walked past the protest with their bags to avoid missing their flights.
