World’s first flying car finishes its first-ever intercity flight

Air Car, a flying car took its historic intercity flight for the first time. The car is capable of driving on the road and flying when needed. Piloted by Stefan Klein, the CEO, and founder of Klein Vision, the car is just scratching the surface of futuristic innovation. Read to find out more about this incredible new journey.

All about the flying car

AirCar as we see it today is the result of 20 years of research and hard work by Stefan Klein. “The flying car completed first inter-city flight‼️ More info tomorrow. Turning science fiction into reality,” said Klein on his Instagram. The good news is, we already have a buyer,” added Klein.

The AirCar (V5) is the latest generation of flying cars and can turn into an air vehicle from a road vehicle in under three minutes. The two-seater flying car weighs 1,100 kg and can carry a load of 200kg. It is powered by a BMW 1.6L engine and has a power output of 140HP. The AirCar claims to have an estimated range of 1,000km. The flight consumption is 18 l/h. Moreover, this impressive car can take off from the ground to the sky and reach almost 200km/h speed.

AirCar and its first intercity journey :

The maiden journey of the car was from Slovakia’s Nitra International Airport to Bratislava. Once the Air Car landed, it took just three minutes for Klein to drive from the airport to the downtown. This flight is the result of over 140 test flights over the past decade. Klein also shared a video of the flight experience on Instagram. Additionally, the car is highly stable and easy to control for any pilot.

“The key flight parameters confirmed all theoretical concepts and calculations that the development of the AirCar was based on. Following the completion of all required flight tests in compliance with EASA regulations, we will deliver a model with a certified ADEPT, 300HP engine within the next 6 next months” said Professor Klein.
