Academy Awards 2024: Shortlists revealed for 10 categories

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released its shortlists for the upcoming Academy Awards in ten categories. The 96th Academy Awards announced the names of those who have been nominated in the following categories: documentary feature film, documentary short film, international feature film, makeup and hairstyling, music (original score), music (original song), animated short film, live-action short film, sound and visual effects.

Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Color Purple, and The Zone of Interest were among the films that received the most mentions in these categories. Now that the shortlists have been announced, nomination voting will take place from January 11 to January 16. The official announcement of nominations is scheduled for January 23, 2024. The Oscars 2024 will be held on March 10 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be broadcast live on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel is back as host.
