The One Piece live-action series is rapidly approaching, and we will soon be able to follow the exploits of the Straw Hat Pirates on Netflix. With the release of the trailers, fans can’t wait to watch Oda’s surreal universe and interesting characters come to life. Talking about the episode list, Matt Owens, the producer of the One Piece Live Action series, said, “Our whole season is set up in four two-episode arcs where we’re meeting a new Straw Hat, getting to know them, and finding where they fit into their world. It is not only an origin story of how this crew comes together…It’s an encapsulation of the idea of finding a family. A spirit of togetherness and adventure.”
As a result, the eight episodes are divided into four sets of two episodes each, each of which serves as a mini-arc and introduces us to the interesting world of One Piece. Episode 1: Romance Dawn
The first episode of the One Piece Live-Action series will adapt the manga’s first arc of the same name. It will recreate Luffy’s first daring voyage into the waters in quest of crew members. In this episode, Luffy will meet two crucial individuals, Zoro and Nami. This trio will band together to escape the Marines, and more crucially, Luffy’s relationship with another well-known character, Shanks, will be examined in this episode.
Episode 2: The Man in the Straw Hat
The second episode will be a single-episode adaptation of the whole Orange Town arc. The trio of Luffy, Nami, and Zoro will meet another pirate known as “Buggy the Star Clown” and his gang. This trio must now beat the pirates and devise an escape strategy. In the meantime, Koby and Helmeppo enlist in the Marines to follow their ambitions.
Episode 3: Tell No Tales
Following their excursion to Orange Town, the third episode will adapt the first half of the Syrup Village storyline. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami arrive in Syrup Village and encounter a strange new guy named Usopp. They encounter another character known as Kaya together, and everything begins to turn upside down for the crew. Garp, one of the toughest marines in history, begins to seek down Luffy and Koby for their activities at Orange Town while they are trapped in a series of events, like adding fuel to a fire.
Episode 4: The Pirates Are Coming
The fourth episode will focus on the second half of the Syrup Village story arc. The group is trapped within Kaya’s estate and must fight their way out in order to escape. Meanwhile, the Marines are on the verge of apprehending Luffy, who is enjoying the time of his life and attempting to obtain a gift from Kaya.
Episode 5: Eat at Baratie!
The first half of the Baratie storyline will be adapted in the fifth episode of the series. Following their exploits in Syrup Village, the crew discovers a floating restaurant in the middle of the ocean. This arc also introduces an important character named Sanji, who works as a cook at the floating restaurant. While the crew is enjoying good meals, they are once again involved in a severe scenario involving the captain, Zoro, and Sanji.
Episode 6: The Chef and the Chore Boy
The sixth episode of the series will adapt the second half of the Baratie arc and mark the beginning of the Arlong Park arc, which is the series’ next well-known arc. Following the catastrophic events at Baratie, Sanji chooses to pursue his goal (which I will not divulge here) alongside Luffy and company. While things are going well for the crew, one of the core members will surprise both the staff and the public. Find out in this episode!
Episode 7: The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo
The seventh episode, which we believe will be the series’ most essential episode, will adapt the entire Arlong Park narrative. The crew travels from Baratie to Nami’s homeland. Nami’s past, as well as current events in her community, will be explored in depth. As the team comes to the rescue of their main crewmate, this episode will be filled with classic events, epic battles, and a lot of emotions.
Episode 8: Worst in the East
After overcoming all of the obstacles they encountered while assembling a team, everyone will travel to a magical location known as “Logue Town.” As a result, the last episode will adapt a mini-arc known as the Logue Town arc. A significant event will occur here, reshaping the tale in the live-action series. And with each crewmate stepping forward, the Straw Hat Pirate crew of One Piece is born. This arc will also see Zoro’s blade collection develop.
