Sydney Sweeney clears mother's mortgage: 'Really big thing for me'

Sydney Sweeney, well known for her appearances in Euphoria and Immaculate, recently honored her mother, Lisa Sweeney, for supporting her acting career. In a recent interview with WhoWhatWear, the 26-year-old actress praised her parents’ persistent support for her achievements.

Sweeney explained how her parents’ belief in her abilities and career goals influenced her journey. “I always dreamt of being able to take care of my parents,” she said. “I recently paid off my mom’s mortgage, and it was a really big thing for me to be able to do.”

Sweeney emphasized the significance of family in keeping her grounded despite the craziness of Hollywood. Despite her busy schedule, she makes an effort to stay in touch with her family, often visiting her hometown of Spokane, Washington, to spend time with them.

“I try to incorporate them into my life as much as possible, whether it’s talking with my cousins every other day or going home,” said Sweeney.

Sydney’s parents, Lisa and Steven Sweeney split as her career took off. They now live separately in Spokane and on a secluded ranch in Mexico.

Sweeney’s next work appearance will be in Echo Valley. Directed by Michael Pearce, the film stars Julianne Moore and Domhnall Gleeson in prominent roles.

The actress will also appear in Eden, which is directed by Ron Howard and written by Noah Pink. The cast includes Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Jude Law, Daniel Brühl, Felix Kammerer, Toby Wallace, and Richard Roxburgh.
