As Stranger Things season 5 filming begins, one of the four new cast members has been announced. Linda Hamilton, the American actress known for her strong character portrayals in films such as The Terminator, will be one of the newest arrivals, according to an announcement made at the 2023 TUDUM fan event.
Stranger Things season 5’s plot has yet to be revealed, with only a few teasers from the creators and cast in interviews.
Stranger Things began as a one-season long-form film about a boy abducted in 1983 under mysterious circumstances, and his family and friends set out to find him.
List of actors who will appear in Stranger Things season 5?
The show, on the other hand, became the most-watched English-language series in Netflix history. Season 4 racked up a massive number of viewing hours, thanks to Kate Bush’s song, which magically transported fans back to the 1980s. Season 5 is eagerly awaited by fans who want to see what surprises await them.

Max, played by Sadie Sink, falls into a coma, so there’s a chance she’ll wake up or have a bigger role in season 5. However, when asked about the showrunner in an interview with Deadline, she sounded unsure. She stated:
“They’ve been very secretive about season five in general. We did have a conversation. They called me before I read the ninth episode because in the script it says that Max dies.”
In an interview with Forbes, Schnapp expressed excitement about his character, Will, and the story’s potential twists. He stated:
“I think they did a great job with Will’s character this season, and beautifully addressed everything they needed to. The way they closed the show is just perfect – the story started with Will, and it’ll end with Will.”
Stranger Things season 5 was scheduled to begin filming on January 8, 2024, or January 5. As a result, we can expect to see the gang return to Netflix screens by early 2025, though the exact date is unknown.
The series was supposed to premiere in winter 2024, but a 140-day SAG-AFTRA strike from July 14 to November 9, 2023, halted production on many such projects.
