Rishabh Pant’s Injury Status: India cricketer Rishabh Pant, who survived a horrific car accident on Friday morning, has two cuts on his forehead and ligament damage in his right knee, according to the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI).
Rishabh also suffered injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe, as well as abrasions on his back, according to the statement.
Rishabh’s condition is stable, and he has been transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where MRI scans will be performed to determine the extent of his injuries and to plan his next course of treatment.
“The BCCI is in constant touch with Rishabh’s family while the Medical Team is in close contact with the doctors currently treating Rishabh. The Board will see to it that Rishabh receives the best possible medical care and gets all the support he needs to come out of this traumatic phase,” the statement read.
Max Hospital Dehradun Medical Superintendent Dr. Ashish Yagnik told the reporters that prima facie they did not spot any significant injuries on the cricketer and he is stable.
“He is under evaluation and a team of doctors is attending him. Only after some tests, we can tell more. As of now, he is stable and there is not much to worry about. The team of doctors is talking to him and based on what he is telling us about the injuries, he is getting evaluated. Prima facie we did not find any serious injuries. Orthopedic and plastic surgeon doctors are attending him,” said Yagnik, adding that the hospital will soon issue a health bulletin.
Rishabh Pant’s Accident
Rishabh, who was hospitalized on Friday after being involved in a car accident near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, early Friday morning, was severely hurt in the collision. He was sent to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre for treatment of impact injuries. He was then sent to Max Hospital in Dehradun.
Rishabh was a member of India’s test squad that defeated Bangladesh 2-0 earlier this month. He was not picked for their Twenty20 and One-Day International squads for the upcoming matches against Sri Lanka.
