Musk's

In a tweet, Elon Musk announced the launch of a new company named xAI that will “understand reality.” The goal of the business, according to its website, is to “understand the true nature of the universe.”

Here are 5 interesting facts from Musk’s new company, xAI

  • The word xAI is a shortened version of Explainable AI, often referred to as Interpretable AI, in the tech world. It aids in human comprehension of the justifications for AI judgments or forecasts. But neither Elon Musk nor the recently founded company have commented on its significance. On July 14, the team will have a virtual meeting called Twitter Spaces to address queries regarding the business and its goals.
  • The Verge reported that xAI was registered in Nevada in April. The wealthiest man in the world had been named as its secretary and Jared Birchall, the head of Elon Musk’s family office, as its director at the time.
  • According to Time Magazine, the corporation bought 10,000 graphics processing units in March, which is the gear needed to create and run cutting-edge AI systems and the Financial Times reported in April that Musk was talking about acquiring cash from investors in SpaceX and Tesla, two businesses he oversees. xAI has not disclosed how it is financed.
  • The xAI website said that while it will collaborate closely with Tesla and other businesses, it is separate from Musk’s Twitter (now called X Corp).
  • Igor Babuschkin, Manuel Kroiss, Yuhuai Wu, Christian Szegedy, Jimmy Ba, Toby Pohlen, Ross Nordeen, Kyle Kosic, Greg Yang, Guodong Zhang, and Zihang Dai are listed as team members on the xAI website in addition to Elon Musk. Dan Hendricks, a researcher currently in charge of the Centre for AI Safety, a San Francisco-based outfit that issues cautionary statements about AI development too soon, advises the xAI team.
