According to a new biography, Queen Elizabeth II “was battling cancer” in the final few months of her life. The allegations concerning the late monarch were made by Prince Philip’s friend Gyles Brandreth in the upcoming biography “Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.”
Queen Elizabeth II’s death was officially attributed to “old age,” but according to Gyles Brandreth, the queen actually died of a rare bone marrow cancer.
The Queen’s fatigue, weight loss, and those “mobility issues” we were frequently told about during the last year or so of her life could all be attributed to bone marrow cancer, according to Gyles Brandreth.
The book also claims the Queen suffered periods of low energy
“The most common symptom of myeloma is bone pain, especially in the pelvis and lower back, and multiple myeloma is a disease that often affects the elderly.” “Currently, there is no known cure, but treatment, including medicines to help regulate the immune system and drugs that help prevent the weakening of the bones, can reduce the severity of its symptoms and extend the patient’s survival by months or two to three years,” the book claimed.
In spite of assuring staff, she was determined to keep busy after her husband Philip’s death in April of last year, the book alleges the Queen experienced spells of low energy.
