The richest person in the world, Elon Musk, has acknowledged that he uses a private Instagram account for personal usage. The information was disclosed in a podcast in which the Tesla CEO discussed aliens, his agreement to buy Twitter, and other topics. A little excerpt from the complete podcast was posted on Twitter, and the tweet that went along with it claimed that Elon Musk has no followers on his covert Instagram account. However, the billionaire admitted in a tweet reply that he has 54 followers.

Musk not only revealed his secret Instagram account in the podcast but also referred to it as a “thirst trap.” “Instagram is next level thirst trap. I found myself taking a lot of selfies and sh*t and I’m like ‘what the f**k man? Why am I doing this?’ Then it was a thing of getting more likes and doing selfies,” Musk said.
Elon Musk did, however, make it clear that he solely uses Twitter to contact people. He argues that activities are more effective when there is only one focused outlet. More than 102 million people follow Musk on Twitter right now. The world’s richest man put the deal on hold after making plans to purchase Twitter for $44 billion, alleging fraud on the microblogging service. He claimed that the social media site deceived him on important aspects of its operations.
While defending himself against Twitter’s lawsuit attempting to compel him to complete the deal, which he has attempted to cancel, the Tesla CEO filed the claim. Musk reportedly confronted Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal for a discussion regarding the platform’s false accounts. Interestingly, only a few months after vowing to stop selling Tesla stock, Musk has sold shares of the company. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently reported that between August 5 and August 9, Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk sold approximately 7.92 million of the company’s shares.
