BTS' V's Layover becomes the first album by a soloist to sell over 2 million copies on Circle Album Charts

BTS’ V debut solo album Layover has sold over 2 million copies on Circle Album Charts. With this achievement, the 28-year-old idol became the first Korean soloist to reach this milestone. He is currently the best-selling soloist of all time on Hanteo.

V, the seventh and last member of BTS, made his solo debut on September 8 with the five-track album Layover. Layover has broken and made many local and international music records since its debut, including charting on the Billboard 200 for the first time on September 18, 2023.

Fans of the K-pop idol have taken to X (previously Twitter) to celebrate V’s new accomplishment. @useriscoming commented on X in a tweet honoring Taehyung, “What an achievement!”

Fans all over the world are celebrating as Kim Taehyung (V) has accomplished two great milestones with his first solo album, Layover. Congratulatory letters from all over the world have been pouring in to recognize this great feat.

Fans had previously complained that BTS’ V agency, BIG HIT MUSIC, was not doing enough to promote the singer’s debut solo album, Layover. Fans claimed that despite hurdles and delays, the Slow Dance singer earned album success through his talent and exceptional influence.

Despite setbacks, sabotages, deleted sales, delayed deliveries, no US promotions whatsoever, Layover reached #2 on Billboard 200 proving that Kim Taehyung's unprecedented impact transcends far beyond music charts; he rules hearts.
