Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s big day has finally arrived. The couple is ready to tie the knot on Thursday. Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and mother Neetu Kapoor announced the details of the wedding while speaking to reporters. Preparations have been in full swing for the past week. However, the bride and groom’s families remained tight-lipped about the wedding dates.
“The wedding is tomorrow (Thursday) at Vastu (Ranbir’s residence),” Riddhima and Neetu, with a big smile on their faces, informed after attending the couple’s Mehendi ceremony on Wednesday.

The wedding’s specifics are still being kept under wraps but here’s what we know.
- Venue: Ranbir’s home ‘Vaastu’
- Ceremony: In the morning, the pair will have a Haldi ceremony. This will be followed by a wedding ceremony in the late afternoon.
- Guestlist: The groom’s mother and sister as well as the bride’s mother and sister were at the Venue for the Mehendi ceremony. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karishma Kapoor were part of the Mehendi ceremony. Keeping the excitement high, Karishma shared a glimpse of her Mehendi. The bride’s father, director Mahesh Bhatt, and his daughter Pooja Bhatt were also part of the ceremony.
A puja was held at Ranbir’s apartment before the Mehendi ceremony in commemoration of his late father Rishi Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. Alia and Ranbir started dating on the sets of Brahmastra. To celebrate their new beginnings, Ayan, who is close friends with both Ranbir and Alia, gave a sneak peek of the couple’s love song ‘Kesariya’ from their upcoming film ‘Brahmastra‘. The film will be in the theatres on September 9, 2022.
