Celine Dion will soon tell her tale about suffering from stiff person syndrome and her journey to rehabilitation. While her performance career is on pause, the singer has disclosed that she will soon release a documentary on herself that will go in-depth about a rare neurological disorder she suffers from. The planned documentary will be titled “I Am: Celine Dion.” While discussing the documentary, Celine confessed that despite all of this, she hopes to return to the stage someday.

Revealing on Instagram her plans, Celine wrote, “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me. As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realised how much I have missed, being able to see my fans.” Celine added that she wants to “document” this part of her life through her documentary, “to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis.” I Am: Celine Dion will be directed by Oscar-winning director Irene Taylor and will stream on Prime Video.

At the time, she stated that her health prevented her from singing “the way I’m used to.” There are reports that Celine may never be able to perform again, but the singer remains hopeful of returning to the stage. She last appeared in a film with Priyanka Chopra. She has also released new tracks. Stiff person syndrome is “a rare, progressive syndrome that affects the nervous system, specifically the brain and spinal cord,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
