KK's death was due to myocardial infarction

Indian playback singer KK’s sudden demise on 31st May left everyone in shock. The late singer’s autopsy report is out suggesting that his arteries had blockages. KK was performing at a concert in Kolkata when he started feeling uneasy and collapsed. (Adipex) He was declared dead at the hospital.

There was an investigation by Kolkata Police to understand the cause of the sudden death. “But after the preliminary and final post mortem reports, as well as the chemical analysis report, the theory of unnatural death can be ruled out now,” said an official. The singer experienced gastrointestinal issues and took antacids on occasion. His wife also informed the authorities about the late singer experiencing pain in his arms and shoulders before the Kolkata trip.

The doctor said, “He had a major blockage in the left main coronary artery and small blockages in various other arteries and sub-arteries. Excessive excitement during the live show caused a stoppage of blood flow leading to cardiac arrest that claimed his life.” He continued, “The vocalist had 80 percent blockage in the left main coronary artery and small blockages in various other arteries and sub-arteries. None of the blockades was 100 percent. During Tuesday’s performance, the singer was walking around. And at times dancing with the crowd which created excessive excitement that caused a stoppage of blood flow leading to cardiac arrest.”

KK’s death was due to a ‘myocardial infarction,’ according to the postmortem report. The final post-mortem assessment mentioned cholesterol buildup restricted the posterior intramuscular artery significantly; affecting the heart’s ability to pump blood. He began his career in commercials by singing jingles. He made his big-screen breakthrough in the 1990s. KK has sung not just Hindi songs but in other languages like Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, etc.
