Taylor Swift gets an honorary degree from NYU

The American singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift received an honorary doctorate of fine arts from New York University on 18th May. In accordance with this let us reintroduce you to Dr. Taylor Swift.

The 32-yrs old pop singer delivered a speech at the 2022 all-school commencement ceremony of NYU at the Yankee stadium. She thanked her family, friends, and acquaintances.

“I know that words are supposed to be my “thing,” but I will never be able to find the words to thank my mom and my dad, and my brother, Austin, for the sacrifices they made every day,” said Dr. Swift. She also added a witticism flair to the ceremony saying “I’m 90% sure the main reason I’m here is that I have a song called 22”.

Before reaching for the graduation ceremony in Yankee Stadium she posted a video on Instagram dressed in her graduation ensemble. It was captioned “Wearing a cap and gown for the first time – see you soon NYU.”

Swift started her music career at the age of 16. In the history of the music industry, she is the only female artist to win the highest honor, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, three times.

Swift shared advice with the class of 2022. But before that, she added a warning, “I in no way feel qualified to tell you what to do because nobody likes that, but I will however give you life hacks for when I was starting out my dreams as a career”.

She then goes on to add “Never be ashamed of trying. Effortlessness is a myth,”.
