The Batman spin-off series on The Penguin in works at HBO Max

HBO Max’s ‘Batman’ is in talks to extend their universe. A new series around DC comic’s most talked-about supervillain, ‘The Penguin’ spin-off is in the developmental stage. The series will be a spin-off of the Batman movie starring ‘Robert Pattinson’ which is all set to come out on 4 March 2022. Oswald Cobblepot/ Penguin will be first seen making his presence in the film that’s releasing next year. 

‘The Penguin’ is all set to get its prequel spin-off. Writer and showrunner Lauren LeFranc (Agents of SHIELD) will be in charge of the show’s direction. Executive producers include Matt Reeves, the Batman director. As per the reports by Variety and Deadline, the prequel spin-off series focusing on Batman’s villain Penguin is “very early in development.”

The Penguin’s rise to power in Gotham’s criminal underworld, according to the publication, will be the focus of the series. “The Penguin,” also known as “Oswald Cobblepot,” is one of the most well-known characters in the DC Comics universe. That is set in Batman’s second year of crime-fighting. He was described as being unrecognisable. Farrell is to be the lead star in the show.
