Watch: Netflix’s non-linear ‘Kaleidoscope’ trailer is out

The trailer for the upcoming Netflix series “Kaleidoscope” is out. The non-linear plot of the show and the fact that viewers can watch the episodes in any sequence have garnered a lot of attention in recent weeks. However, if you only watch the trailer, you won’t be aware of that. It merely plays out like your standard robbery drama series. Giancarlo Esposito, who starred in “The Boys” and “Breaking Bad,” plays Leo Pap, a man planning a complex robbery that will net them an astonishing $7 billion, give or take. The show was created by Eric Garcia. Nevertheless, the risk is considerable. Leo Pap genuinely planned the crime as retaliation against Roger Salas, played by Rufus Sewell, whom he claims harmed him.

A master thief and his gang undertake an immense and sophisticated robbery worth $7 billion dollars, but their preparations are derailed by betrayal, greed, and other threats, according to the series logline. Thus, mishaps do occur. Even without the non-linear gimmick, the series appears to be worth the wait – just based on the premise and the performers.

The non-linear show will allow viewers to watch the episodes in any order as long as the conclusion is seen last

Along with Jordan Mendoza, Paz Vega, Tati Gabrielle, Rosaline Elbay, Peter Mark Kendall, Jai Courtney, and Niousha Noor also star.

How the story’s non-linear structure will impact what we learn from it is yet to be determined. It is a heist drama series that, as previously mentioned, is non-linear, allowing viewers to watch the episodes in any order as long as the conclusion is seen last. Where viewers “will enter the crime at different times in time,” according to Netflix.

Eric Garcia does have impressive credentials, which gives the series more assurance. Nicolas Cage starred in Ridley Scott’s adaptation of his book “Matchstick Men.” He also wrote the scripts for “Anonymous Rex” and “Repo Men,” two more adaptations of his books. The 2019 movie “Strange but True” was also written by him.

The Netflix original movie “Kaleidoscope” will debut on January 1st, 2023.
