Will Ant-Man be in the Loki finale post-credits scene? Theory explained

Loki finale post-credits scene

According to a new theory, the Loki finale post-credits scene will be for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It connects to another idea regarding Kang the Conqueror being behind the Time Variance Authority. Loki episode 4 rapidly built on the mythology behind the TVA and revealed the organization’s greatest secret. Everyone there is a variant, even Agent Mobius himself. But that was merely the start of the probe into the TVA’s deceit.

The Time-Keepers, it turns out, were not genuine after all. Loki sensed something wasn’t quite right about the TVA. Also, everyone who worked there wasn’t likely created by the Time-Keepers with the sole purpose of maintaining the Sacred Timeline. Furthermore, Judge Ravonna Renslayer, like B-15, was formerly a hunter. But she is now at the forefront of maintaining the TVA’s facade, likely including the false Time-Keepers. Because of that link, it’s plausible that someone else, such as Kang the Conqueror, is behind it all.

Kang, Loki, and Antman

Kang the Conqueror, a time-traveling entity known as Nathaniel Richards has spent his life striving to conquer spacetime. He is one of Marvel Comics’ most powerful villains. Kang’s comics focus on what the TVA is up to in the MCU. Knowing that Phase 4 is mostly about building the multiverse and other realities, this is all very much under his control.

Kang will also return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It makes Loki the ideal character to set off the third Ant-Man film. Furthermore, Ant-Man 3 recently shot a scene in San Francisco. Therefore, leading to speculation that the scene filmed will be Loki’s post-credits sequence.

Loki finale post-credits scene

Loki has shot a long time ago. But Marvel Studios has a history of shooting post-credits scenes after production has ended – even days before the film’s release. For example, The Avengers’ famous shawarma scene was shot after the film’s premiere. The Avengers: Infinity War post-credits sequence with Nick Fury and Maria Hill was shot just months before the film release. A sequence connecting Loki to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, particularly Kang the Conqueror’s, would be simple to pull together.

It makes narrative sense for it to be the post-credits scene – assuming there is one at all. The logical approach would be to tie Loki into Thor: Love & Thunder. But Loki and Thor’s interconnected tale coiled up in Infinity War and hence there’s nothing more to do there.

However, exposing Kang’s involvement will appropriately establish Kang as a major antagonist for Phase 4. It will be like The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy did for Thanos. Not only that, but a Loki post-credits sequence with Ant-Man could build up Ravonna’s return. It could even explain a puzzle regarding the TVA; the idea magic doesn’t work and time runs differently is because it’s really inside the Quantum Realm.
