EA FC 24 Ultimate Team chemistry explained

The EA FC 24 Ultimate Team showcase took place as planned on August 9, bringing with it a slew of intriguing news. While there will be no drastic alterations, EA Sports will make some significant changes to the present structure of FIFA 23. While the new chemistry system announced last year will be preserved, the inclusion of women’s cards will result in some substantial adjustments.

Furthermore, the chemistry that Icons provide will change slightly. In other words, Icon chemistry will be much more valuable in EA FC 24, potentially increasing their valuations even further.

Let’s take a look at what the creators confirmed during the live announcement.

How will the chemistry in EA FC 24 function with female cards?

In Ultimate Team, male and female footballers will play together for the first time. Players can choose from a slew of Heroes and base cards featuring the biggest names in women’s football. The chemistry system, on the other hand, will have a slightly different effect.

In the live webcast, Chelsea‘s Sam Kerr was utilized as an example. She will share team chemistry with any Chelsea footballer (male or female), fellow WSL names, and any card of Australian heritage. Female cards will not share the same league chemistry as their male counterparts.

That will not be the case with club and national team chemistry.

Icon chemistry in EA FC 24

This chemistry method in EA FC 24 could be difficult, especially if someone’s cards are widely dispersed across multiple leagues. However, EA Sports has proposed a possible answer in the form of Icons and how they would affect chemistry.

Icon cards are prized due to their high stats and significant effects on team camaraderie. Their impact will be even greater in the forthcoming version, as Icons will deliver one-league synergy to each member of the squad.

It will be fine if there is no league similarity between the Icon and the other cards in the squad. As long as the Icon card is in the starting lineup, all other cards’ league chemistry is automatically increased by one.

This may increase demand for Icon cards, as their additional contributions may benefit all EA FC 24 players. It will be ideal for individuals who have cards from too many leagues. However, in Ultimate Team, players should expect to pay a premium for these Icons.
