Bows are a new type of weapon in Remnant 2 that many players will likely ignore. This is due to the fact that all of the bows in the game are hidden behind some form of secret. This includes the Royal Hunting Bow, the most basic bow in the game, which sacrifices individual flare for greater flexibility.
Unlike many of the other weapons in the game, the Royal Hunting Bow does not have an Earth-made counterpart. Brabus will not sell any additional bows, making this the only one of its kind that can accept weapon upgrades. Fortunately, obtaining this weapon isn’t too difficult, and it doesn’t involve any convoluted mysteries like the rest of Remnant 2’s weapons.
Royal Hunting Bow: Location
The Fae, a mysterious yet ruthless species dwelling in Losomn, created the Royal Hunting Bow. Players can begin their adventure in this world in either the Beatific Palace or the Morrow Parish; what matters is that they find a castle or a Fae portal that leads to the Postulant’s Parlor, one of the numerous random dungeons that may spawn in Losomn.
Postulant’s Parlor is remarkable in several aspects. For starters, the map is strangely symmetrical and repetitious. Second, rather than a standard boss battle, gamers will encounter a scary statue seated in front of a board game. Blast through the guards and challenge this cursed statue to a game of tic-tac-toe.
The basics are straightforward: build a line with the three white pieces on the board while stopping your opponent from forming their own. When a player loses here, they receive a Curse stack, which decreases their maximum health until the effect is cleansed. Instead, winning unlocks the door behind the statue, revealing the Royal Hunting Bow on an exquisite altar surrounded by torches.
How to use the Royal Hunting Bow in Remnant 2
The Royal Hunting Bow, as one might imagine, discharges one arrow at a time at a somewhat modest pace. This is supplemented by its extremely high damage-per-shot numbers, which may be increased even further with the correct builds. This weapon is best suited for a long-ranged playstyle with the Hunter Archetype because it provides the most ranged damage bonuses.
Players can attach any mod to the Royal Hunting Bow, however, considering its vulnerability against large groups of opponents, crowd-control mods like Time Lapse and Scrap Shot may be preferable.
