Lego Star Wars: Castaways announces Apple arcade with Multiplayer

LEGO and Star Wars are joining forces again for Lego Star Wars: Castaways. It is an Apple Arcade unique title that claims to take users on a journey through a hidden multiplayer area within the legendary “galaxy far, far away.” The Apple-Arcade-exclusive Lego Star Wars: Castaways is a mobile-based sandbox title that gives character customization and online multiplayer.

Video games like Traveller’s Tales’ long-running series of LEGO-based titles continue to appeal to people of all ages. It gives a wholesome experience on some of fiction’s most popular franchises. The popularity of the game dates back to 2005’s video game. The legendary sci-fi franchise is currently being revived with a slew of LEGO releases launched in recent years.

Ubisoft is currently working on a “story-driven,” open-world Star Wars game

The Skywalker Saga will launch next year. It claims to capture the events of all nine main films in LEGO form. Prior to that, another Star Wars game is introducing the series to online multiplayer. Gameloft’s Twitter account and Castaways Mac App Store preview page inform players will be able to build their own custom characters. They can explore a “secret world” either alone or through online multiplayer. 

The new sandbox in this game offers players special challenges, race mini-model versions of classic Star Wars vehicles. Players can reenact classic moments from throughout the Star Wars franchise. Aside from this sub-franchise, Star Wars has made a comeback in the gaming market during the last few years.

LEGO games have long been a reliable source of bite-sized, family-friendly fun.  LEGO Star Wars: Castaways seeks to maintain this trend by allowing players to build their own LEGO characters. Players can explore a multiplayer environment packed with iconic Star Wars vehicles and monsters. When LEGO Star Wars: Castaways comes to Apple Arcade on November 19. Fans will be able to set their hyperdrives to this world.
