Although a fight with Elon Musk is no longer on the schedule, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has continued to practice mixed martial arts (MMA). The Meta CEO has been learning the martial art since 2020, and in May of this year, he won gold and silver medals in his first Brazilian jujitsu competition. Even though a much-anticipated fight between 39-year-old Zuckerberg and Tesla CEO Elon Musk may never happen, the man worth $117 billion is continuing his demanding workout regimen in preparation for future fights. Zuckerberg responded to fast food behemoth McDonald’s, which asked its followers what their orders are, on his new platform Threads.
“20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later?” Zuckerberg, dubbed Zuck on the app, responded. (www.contentbeta.com) The haul might contain more than 3,000 calories, according to calorie estimations on McDoanld’s website—more than double the adult recommended daily intake of 1,200 calories. However, the California-based entrepreneur explained that his extraordinarily high-calorie consumption is a training tool. UFC fighter Mark Davis responded to Zuckerberg’s order: “You’re in camp! No Mcdonalds 😂” to which Zuckerberg shot back: “Not cutting weight so I need ~4000 calories a day to offset all the activity. And it’s so delicious…”
Zuckerberg isn’t the only tech billionaire who enjoys a sweet treat
Zuckerberg isn’t the only tech billionaire who enjoys a sweet treat. Musk, the owner of Twitter, has openly said that he eats a doughnut for breakfast every day, a rivalry so intense that a physical battle was proposed in June. Meanwhile, Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, famously told Fortune that he has the “diet of a 6-year-old.” “If I consume 2,700 calories per day, Coca-Cola accounts for one-quarter of that.” I consume at least five 12-ounce portions per day. “I do it every day,” Buffett continued. In addition to rumors of Buffett giving glasses of Coke to Japanese trading companies earlier this year, Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates revealed his odd diet.
Buffett said in 2016 that when he visited the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, he opened a pack of Oreos for breakfast. “Our kids immediately demanded they have some, too,” Gates added. He may be a bad role model for young people, but it’s a diet that works for him.” “He eats mostly hamburgers, ice cream, and Coke,” Gates continued. Despite being a proponent of a plant-based diet, Gates enjoys a McDonald’s burger now and then. In 2016, Joe Cerrell, managing director of the Gates Foundation, told the Daily Telegraph that Gates liked hotel rooms “full of Diet Coke” and cheeseburgers at lunch meetings “no matter who you are.” “If you get the lunchtime slot with Bill, you’re eating burgers,” Cerrell added. “Someone will always be sent to get bags of McDonald’s. I don’t think [his then-wife] Melinda lets him have them at home.”
