Tips that will help you get through No-Shave November

With No-Shave November, which aims to generate discussion and increase awareness of prostate cancer, beard season is here. Some males look forward to the opportunity to demonstrate their miracle-grow powers all year long, while others may be experiencing conflicting emotions. Even though you want to help a noble cause, you can still choose your hygiene.

To promote No-Shave November, you don’t have to dress like Leo in “The Revenant.” With these manscaping suggestions, you may maintain your professional reputation while sporting a beard that is acceptable for the office.

Here are 9 tips to make your way through No-Shave November

1. Use quality manscaping tools

Quality manscaping equipment is essential if growing a beard is something new for you. For more reliable grooming, make sure you have high-quality clippers and scissors on hand. When you become a lumberjack, you’ll also need a comb or brush to manage your beard.

2. Wash your beard regularly

Wash your beard a couple of times a week to keep it under control. Avoid using bar soap and harsh face washes, which dehydrate your skin and cause an itchy, uncomfortable feeling. To maintain your beard healthy and clean, rub sugar or salt on your face to remove the dead skin behind your peach fuzz for additional exfoliation.

3. Comb your beard daily

Comb your beard daily

You should start combing out your facial hair after your beard is long enough so it grows in one direction and is simpler to trim.   Beginning at the mustache, comb downward. Both an ordinary comb and a beard brush will work. Don’t leave any hair behind or your trim may be uneven in the future.

4. Your manscaping practices should be determined by the contour of your face

Your manscaping practices should be determined by the contour of your face. You should keep your facial hair longer in some regions and shorter in others, depending on whether your face is square, oval, heart-shaped, or another form.

5. No-Shave November- Use these trimming tips

The use of good clippers will enable you to cut your hair more evenly. Before cutting, make sure your beard is totally dry for the best results. You must then select the proper guard size. Depending on how quickly your hair grows and the style you want, you should use a different guard on your clippers. Start with a larger clip and work your way down, enlarging it as your beard develops if you’re unsure of what will look best. A 4 guard is around half an inch, as a general rule (but each clipper will vary slightly).

6. Fade from your neck and cheeks

Neck-scaping should be a regular component of your routine when growing a beard. You must fade from your neck and cheeks to get the proper effect. About an inch or two above your Adam’s apple is where fading should start. As you progress outward, start with a lower clipper setting and raise it gradually. When trimming the area beneath your chin and neck, be careful because the skin on your neck has a tendency to bunch up. Most crucial, have your neckline defined early for a beard that looks more finished.

7. Clean your beard often during the No-Shave November

There can be phases during No-Shave November where your beard might start growing awkwardly. As it is No-Shave November you won’t be trimming very often. However, once it has grown in length, trim your beard and mustache every few days, or at the very least, tidy it up.

8. Trim your mustaches and nose hair frequently

If your mustache is hanging too low, clip it with scissors and tidy up any stray hairs. Also, remember to trim the area around your nose.

9. Use a moisturizer daily

After washing and trimming, use a beard oil or beard moisturizer to prevent dryness and keep those locks velvety smooth. Grab some coconut oil and give your beard a regular massage as a home cure.  Supporting No-Shave November should not be discouraged by the prospect of a scraggly beard.
