‘I Woke Up in the Year 4413’: Man Claims Secret Time Travel Experiment Sent Him Thousands of Years Into the Future

A man from England has made extraordinary claims that he was sent more than 2,400 years into the future during a secret British government time-travel experiment.

Speaking in a YouTube interview on Apex TV, Lewis Walker, who says he worked for the UK’s Ministry of Defence in 1977, claimed government scientists recruited him to test an experimental time machine. Although he was supposedly meant to travel just 600 years into the future, Walker alleged he instead arrived in the year 4413, where he encountered a world run entirely by humanoid robots after humanity had disappeared.

Walker provided a detailed account of the alleged journey but presented no evidence, such as documents, photographs, official records, or independent witnesses, to support his story. His claims have not been verified by any credible authority.

Lewis Walker’s extraordinary time travel claim

According to Walker, his involvement began in 1977 while working for Britain’s Ministry of Defence. He claimed his role gradually gave him access to highly classified projects before he was invited to participate in what he described as a top-secret time travel experiment.

Walker said government scientists informed him they had successfully developed time travel technology and offered him £250,000 (about $335,000) to become its first human test subject.

He recalled being warned that the experiment carried enormous risks.

According to Walker, researchers told him there was only a 50% chance the experiment would succeed. Otherwise, he claimed, he could become permanently lost in space and time or trapped between dimensions.

Despite the warning, Walker said he accepted the offer because the money would have helped support his family.

The alleged underground facility beneath the English Channel

Walker claimed that later that same night, he was transported by helicopter to a classified underground installation beneath the English Channel.

He described entering through what appeared to be an ordinary building before descending a long ladder into a vast underground complex connected by tunnels.

According to Walker, the facility housed technology far beyond what was publicly known in the 1970s, including:

  • Teleportation devices
  • Mind-reading technology
  • Advanced experimental machinery
  • A functioning time machine

He described the time machine as a large triangular structure covered with wires and designed to hold a single passenger.

Walker said scientists dressed him in a radiation-resistant suit before placing him inside the machine.

He recalled hearing a powerful mechanical humming sound before everything around him turned white.

‘I woke up in the year 4413’

Walker claimed he regained consciousness inside what appeared to be an abandoned hospital.

Still wearing the protective suit, he said he called for help before hearing a robotic voice address him by name and inform him that the current year was 4413.

Outside the building, Walker claimed he found an eerily quiet city.

According to his account:

  • Flying vehicles filled the skies.
  • Human beings were almost completely absent.
  • Humanoid robots operated society.
  • Buildings and infrastructure appeared fully automated.

Walker said the futuristic city looked functional despite the apparent disappearance of biological humans.

A meeting with another alleged time traveler

Walker claimed he eventually encountered another human being.

According to his story, the stranger identified himself as a time traveller from the year 2030.

Walker said the man explained that

  • Time travel became commercially available in 2028.
  • The year 4413 had become a popular destination for tourists.
  • Biological humans no longer existed in that era.
  • Robots had inherited Earth’s civilisation after humanity disappeared.

The account did not explain how or why humanity vanished.

Returning to 1977

Walker claimed he later entered a facility known as “Time Station”, where people could freely travel between different periods.

He allegedly selected 1977 as his destination and returned to the same underground installation where government scientists had launched the experiment.

According to Walker, the researchers told him he had been missing for several weeks.

He said he later decided to share the story because “people deserve to know the truth”.

However, he did not produce any supporting evidence for any aspect of his claims.

Is there any evidence supporting Walker’s story?

No.

Walker has not publicly presented:

  • Government documents
  • Employment records verifying his role
  • Photographs or videos
  • Technical details that can be independently verified
  • Witness testimony
  • Scientific evidence supporting the alleged experiment

His story has circulated primarily through YouTube videos and online articles discussing unusual or paranormal claims.

Could time travel like this actually happen?

Modern physics does not rule out every theoretical form of time travel, but there is no scientific evidence that humans have successfully built or operated a machine capable of transporting people thousands of years into the future and back.

Concepts involving time travel appear in theories related to:

  • Einstein’s theory of relativity
  • Wormholes
  • Closed timelike curves

However, these ideas remain highly theoretical and have never been demonstrated in a way that resembles Walker’s account.

No government has acknowledged possessing functional time travel technology.

Why stories like this continue to attract attention

Claims of secret government experiments, hidden military technology, and time travelers from the future have circulated for decades.

Such stories often gain traction online because they combine elements of science fiction, conspiracy theories, and genuine scientific concepts. While they can be entertaining, extraordinary claims require equally extraordinary evidence.

In Walker’s case, none has been produced.

Bottom line

Lewis Walker’s account paints a vivid picture of a future where robots have replaced humanity and time travel has become commonplace. His story includes secret military projects, underground laboratories, futuristic cities, and public time-travel stations.

But despite its detailed narrative, there is no independently verified evidence that any part of the story is true. Until credible documentation or corroborating evidence emerges, Walker’s account remains an unverified personal claim rather than an established historical or scientific fact.
