South Africa vs India

The 3rd and final test match between South Africa and India will be played from the 11th of January to the 15th of January at Newlands, Cape Town. The series currently stands at level with 1-1. India won the Centurion Test by 113 runs whereas South Africa won the Johannesburg Test by 7 wickets.

India skipper Virat Kohli who had missed the second Test due to a back spasm is all set to make a return for the decider. This will be his 99th match in the longest format. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane looked in good touch in the last game and will look to continue the same form. Mohammad Siraj isn’t fit, meaning Ishant Sharma or Umesh Yadav is likely to make the playing XI. (https://eluminoustechnologies.com)

Pitch Report

The surface at Cape Town provides a huge help to the pacers. The new ball bowlers will get seam movement off the surface. And as the game progresses, spinners can also come into the picture. The batters need to be on their toes while batting on this bowling-friendly surface. In the last 10 years, pacers average 28.45 and spinners average 43.96 at Capetown.
