7-year-old Brazilian boy suffers seven heart attacks, dies after scorpion bite

A seven-year-old Brazilian boy died after suffering seven heart attacks as a result of being stung by one of the deadliest scorpions in the entire world.

The scorpion bit the boy while he was wearing his shoes

The scorpion delivers an excruciating sting. It struck Luiz Miguel Furtado Barbosa as he was putting on his shoes in preparation for a family holiday.

Before the boy was brought to the hospital, where doctors sought to stabilize him, his family launched a frantic search to discover what had stung their baby. His mother, Angelita Proenca Furtado, 44, told local media that the family was preparing for a camping trip at their home in Anhembi, Sao Paulo when tragedy struck.

She said: “As we didn’t find what had stung him, we kept looking.” “But his leg started to turn red and he said that the pain was increasing.

“That’s when I imagined that it really was a scorpion and that I needed to find it to find out which one it was.”

The family eventually found the animal, a Brazilian yellow scorpion, in their home. Due to its incredibly deadly venom, it is the most lethal scorpion in South America.

After being transported to the hospital by Angelita and her husband Eraldo Barbosa, Luiz was given a bed in the pediatric unit right away. The following day, according to his mother Angelita, “They even removed him from some medication,” she claimed. “He opened his eyes and tried to talk to me. I kissed him and he had to be sedated again because he was very agitated.”

Tragically, though, his health started to decline, and on Tuesday, October 25, he had a string of cardiac arrests before dying.

Here is what his mother has to say

“We were getting ready to go camping because he loved playing in the water,” his tearful mother recalled. “He, as usual, was very anxious. He seemed to want to live everything he had to live in a single day. “Today, I realize that it’s as if he was really in a hurry to live.”

The mum, who also has another son Joao Felipe, 5, said she is grateful for the time spent with her son. She added: “I decided that I would make the lesson that Miguelzinho left me worth it as he taught me how to be a mother. “And I will be for Joao what I may have stopped being for Luiz. We have to have this mindset instead of feelings of guilt.
