Elon Musk’s father calls Ayodhya visit “one of the best things” he’s done

Errol Musk, father of tech billionaire Elon Musk, visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday, describing the experience as “wonderful” and “one of the best things” he has ever done. The visit came amid tight security in the Ram temple town, with authorities maintaining a three-layered security cover that includes anti-drone systems and CCTV surveillance.

A spiritual and cultural experience

Accompanied by his daughter Alexandra Musk, Errol arrived at Ayodhya Airport around 2:30 PM and left after 4 PM, dressed in a traditional kurta-pyjama for the occasion. After paying obeisance at the Ram Temple, he also visited the nearby Hanumangarhi Temple.

“It’s wonderful, absolutely wonderful,” Errol told PTI. “It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’m so glad I came to see it and can’t wait till the temple gets completed, the big temple, it’s going to be something like a wonder of the world.”

Speaking to reporters, he added, “My experience here in India has been wonderful. I’m here to begin working with Servotech and am looking forward to spending a lot of time in the country. The temples are marvelous, and so are the people.”

Security measures in place

Given the high-profile nature of the visit, Ayodhya police ensured heightened vigilance, though officials stated that no additional security was deployed beyond the existing measures.

A senior police officer said, “The existing security cover is adequate, and no extra arrangements were made specifically for this visit.”

Change in travel plans due to extreme heat

Errol Musk was initially scheduled to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra, but the plan may be dropped due to extreme heat in the region. His India trip, which began on June 1, will continue until June 6 and is primarily focused on green energy and EV infrastructure development in collaboration with Servotech Power Systems.
