The Western media has long reported sensational and sometimes scandalous allegations about North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. According to the British tabloid Daily Star, North Korea’s supreme commander selects 25 virgin ladies each year to join his “Pleasure Squad.”
As per a story claiming a North Korean defector, Yeonmi Park, these young females are chosen primarily based on their appearance.
According to Park, a 30-year-old who claims to have been recruited twice for the dubious honor of serving Jong-un, the leader’s ‘cronies’ visit “every classroom, and they even go to schoolyards in case they missed someone pretty.”
What is Kim Jong-un’s pleasure squad?
“Once they find some pretty girls, the first thing they do is check into their family status—their political status. They eliminate any girls with family members that have escaped from North Korea, or have relatives in South Korea or other countries,” she added.
Park earlier stated that the Kim dynasty are “pedophiles” who expect to be worshipped as gods.”
She adds that once the gorgeous girls are chosen, they are forced to undergo a virginity test. According to the source, this is a thorough medical check in which “even the smallest defect,” such as a little scar, will result in disqualification.
A “handful of girls from all over North Korea” who pass all of the tests are then transferred to Pyongyang to join the so-called pleasure squad, whose “only reason to exist is to please the dictator.”
She also disclosed that the ‘Pleasure Squad’ is divided into three groups: one specializes in massages, while the other specializes in singing and dancing. The third division is the “sexual activities division,” which requires becoming “sexually intimate with the dictator, and other men,” according to Park.
“They have to learn how to please these men—that’s their only goal,” she explained, adding that the most beautiful females are saved for the North Korean supreme commander.
The less stunning squad members are designed to meet the needs of lower-level generals and politicians.
Pleasure Squads’ have existed since the 1970s
According to the North Korean defector, conditions in the country are so bad that families gladly allow their daughters to be recruited by squad scouts since it means they won’t go hungry.
However, this is only true until the girls reach their mid-20s. Following that, they are married to Kim Jong-un’s bodyguards, which is considered a privilege.
Apparently, this is not a Kim Jong-un issue. ‘Pleasure Squads’ have existed since the 1970s. Yeonmi Park alleges that the previous leader, Kim Jong Il, believed that “having sexual intimacy with young teenage girls would give him immortality.”
He created the concept of “pleasure squads” in the 1970s when he would select attractive women and position them with his father, Kim Il-sung, thinking “he might find that very pleasurable.” This ultimately helped him gain the throne.
“So he picked beautiful women and put them in resorts that Kim Il-sung visited. Kim Il-sung was so touched that his son thought of his pleasure, and that’s why he nominated Kim Jong Il as his successor,” she claimed.
Soon after that, in 1983, he formed a similar squad for himself, and the “tradition” was carried on by the present leader, according to the article.
However, she stated that the composition of the Pleasure Squads has altered over time due to the three men’s differing preferences for women. She further stated that, if rumors are correct, Kim Jong-un’s “wife was originally in the Pleasure Squad.”
