Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demoted on royal family’s official website amid rift

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there appeared to be a temporary thawing in Prince Harry’s relationships with the rest of the British royal family. Less than ten days after the Queen’s death, Harry and Meghan Markle, along with lesser-known royals and the disgraced Prince Andrew, have been relegated to the bottom of the royal family’s website.

The ‘demotion’ came after the royal family website was updated

The ‘demotion’ allegedly occurred following an update to the royal family website. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were once positioned in the center of the list. The readers were directed to their own pages by clicking on their names.

Nevertheless, both now rank lower than people like Princess Alexandra and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester as a result of the upgrade. Because they are “non-working royals,” Prince Michael of Kent and his wife Marie-Christine have been completely omitted from the list. (https://jeepadvices.com/)

The decision, according to British media, is in accordance with King Charles III’s idea of establishing a slimmed-down monarchy. It is because the public cannot continue to support a royal family that is always growing.

This is not the first occasion that the senior royals have ignored Prince Harry

Notably, this is not the first occasion that the senior royals have ignored Prince Harry since the Queen’s passing. According to reports, Harry was unable to wear his military uniform at the Queen’s vigil. He lost the ability to do so when he left the royal family in 2020 and went to California with Meghan.

However, as a result of the growing uproar, King Charles III gave Prince Harry permission to wear a military outfit. But that wouldn’t be the last time he was made aware of his egregious past. King Charles III planned a lavish event for the top international leaders the day before the state funeral. The majority of the royal family was invited, but Megha and Harry were not.

They had reportedly been told that the occasion was only for working royals. According to the article, when the pair learned that royal officials had insisted that they skip the ceremony, they appeared to be perplexed.
