The Russian President on Tuesday vowed to continue with the year-long war in Ukraine. He also accused the NATO alliance of increasing conflict with the hopes of defeating Russia in a global confrontation. Speaking on the eve of the first year of the war, Putin stated Moscow will “consistently resolve the tasks facing it” in Ukraine. In his address, he also told the nation’s military and political elite that Moscow is tilting towards Asia after the introduction of severe sanctions by the West. He emphasized that defeating Russia was not possible.
In addition to the promise of continuing the war and stated the global war was forced on Russia. He expressed his understanding of the pain of families who lost their loved ones and had fallen in battle. “The people of Ukraine have become the hostage of the Kyiv regime and its Western overlords, who have effectively occupied this country in the political, military, and economic sense,” stated Putin. ” They intend to transform a local conflict into a phase of global confrontation. The 70-year-old Kremlin leader stressed that Russia will not bow down to the West’s attempts at dividing the society and waging a global war to tear it down. While talking about the annexation of four territories in Ukraine last year, he got a standing ovation.
