A minor earthquake hit the Southern California desert Saturday near Coachella, where the renowned music festival is taking place this weekend. There were no damages or injuries reported.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake struck at 9:08 a.m., about 8 miles (13 kilometers) northeast of Borrego Springs in Riverside County. It had a preliminary magnitude of 3.8.

According to a dispatcher with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, no calls were received reporting any concerns caused by the earthquake.
