In Texas, a 29-year-old woman was given the death penalty for the murder of a pregnant acquaintance in October 2020 so that the fetus in her womb could be taken out and stolen. After a protracted trial that began in September of this year, Taylor Parker was finally given a sentence on Wednesday in Texas.
When Parker gradually revealed her pregnancy to her boyfriend and family, the drama started. She bought a phony silicone stomach and posted about it on social media. Everything, though, was a lie. In actuality, she was unable to become pregnant as a result of the hysterectomy.
On October 9, 2020, Readab Simmons-Hancock, a pregnant acquaintance who was 21 years old and in the final stages of her pregnancy, was stabbed more than 100 times in her house by Parker. In order to steal her unborn child, Parker then cut through her stomach. Her three-year-old daughter was also present but was dozing out in a different room at the time of the incident, according to AFP.
Parker managed to escape the home but was quickly apprehended while driving about nine miles from the location of the murder.
Parker allegedly had the child on her lap, according to the police. Parker claimed to have given birth to the child, according to the police department. But even after being admitted to the hospital, the youngster died.
Parker had been searching for pregnant women at stores and maternity wards a few weeks previous to the murder, according to the police testimony at the trial.
