10 Jeffrey Epstein Victims to Testify Publicly: Date, Venue, and Details

For the first time, ten victims of Jeffrey Epstein will step forward publicly at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol on September 3, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) confirmed. The women—many of whom have never spoken before—are expected to deliver emotional statements and demand the release of Justice Department files tied to Epstein’s sprawling sex trafficking network.

Khanna told NBC News the event will be “explosive,” underscoring how long-simmering questions about Epstein’s connections and the government’s handling of the case continue to fuel public mistrust.

What Are the Victims Demanding?

The victims’ primary demand is the unsealing of DOJ records on Epstein. These files could shed light on:

  • Who was investigated and potentially protected during Epstein’s decades-long abuse.
  • How federal authorities handled—or mishandled—the case, including why previous probes failed to stop him.
  • Which public figures or institutions may have been implicated but never formally charged.

Khanna said the women want “full closure on this matter,” believing transparency is the only way to restore accountability.

A Bipartisan Push for Transparency

Khanna and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) are spearheading a disclosure measure that would compel the DOJ to release its Epstein files.

  • All 212 House Democrats have reportedly pledged their support.
  • Massie has secured commitments from 12 Republicans, leaving the group just short of the 218 signatures needed.

“Only six of them have to sign it,” Khanna noted, framing the push as within reach.

The rare bipartisan coalition argues that public speculation about Epstein’s network will persist until the government provides full transparency.

Why the Epstein Case Still Haunts U.S. Politics

Epstein died by suicide in a New York federal prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His death sparked conspiracy theories and fueled suspicion that influential allies—including politicians, business leaders, and celebrities—may have been shielded.

Political fallout has been significant:

  • Trump and MAGA allies have resisted further probes, clashing with Republicans open to transparency.
  • The House Oversight Committee recently subpoenaed Epstein’s estate over allegations of mishandled federal investigations.
  • Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for aiding his trafficking operation.

The upcoming press conference threatens to widen partisan rifts, particularly if victims directly name figures linked to Epstein’s circle.

Why This Matters

The Epstein scandal is more than a story about one predator—it’s about how power, wealth, and influence may have corrupted justice.

  • For victims, accessing DOJ files could validate years of silence and denial.
  • For lawmakers, it’s a test of political will to challenge entrenched secrecy.
  • For the public, it’s a chance to confront whether America’s justice system is capable of holding the powerful accountable.

As Rep. Khanna put it: “We cannot allow this case to remain shrouded in secrecy. The victims deserve answers, and the American people deserve the truth.”

TL;DR

  • Ten Epstein victims will speak publicly for the first time on Sept. 3 outside the U.S. Capitol.
  • They will demand the release of Justice Department files related to Epstein’s trafficking network.
  • Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie are leading a bipartisan effort to force disclosure, with backing from all House Democrats and a growing number of Republicans.
  • The case continues to divide the GOP, while raising deeper questions about accountability in America’s justice system.
