A Georgia man has been handed four death sentences for kidnapping, raping, and killing a juvenile girl in 2021. Russell County Circuit Court Judge David Johnson sentenced Jeremy Williams on Monday, April 15, for the murder, rape, and abuse of Kamarie Holland, who was five years old.

The Kamarie Holland Case

Holland’s mother told authorities on December 13, 2021, that she awoke at 5:50 a.m. to discover that her daughter was missing. According to Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor, the front entrance of their Columbus, Georgia, home was open.

Later that night, the little girl’s body was found in an abandoned house near Phoenix City, Alabama. Williams had previously resided in this house. He was found guilty of four counts of capital murder, as well as other offenses such as rape and kidnapping.

Williams lived in Columbus when the murder occurred. He is accused of having raped Holland and then strangling her to death after offering her mom $2,500 for the child to perform oral sex on him. This was revealed during testimony given at his trial, The Mirror reported.

Holland’s mother, Kristy Siple, was eventually charged with human trafficking. According to USA Today, Siple negotiated “with another person to pay her for having sexual intercourse and sodomy with her minor child,” according to an arrest warrant. She pleaded guilty to one count of human sex trafficking and faces up to twenty years in jail.

The video evidence shown to jurors showed authorities discovering Holland’s body. Williams was also caught on video assaulting the trafficked kid, which caused some jurors to cry.

Taylor later told the Ledger-Enquirer that this was one of the most difficult cases in his career. “If there’s ever been somebody that’s deserving of the death penalty, it is Jeremy Williams,” he said. “He’s another type of evil that we in society just don’t need walking around.”
