Melania Trump strikes deal to limit First Lady duties if Trump wins 2024: Report

In a recent report by Page Six, sources claim that Melania Trump has reached an agreement with her husband, former President Donald Trump, stating she will not assume full-time First Lady responsibilities if he is re-elected.

Focus on family: Melania’s priority

According to insiders, Melania has maintained a low profile during Donald Trump’s current presidential campaign and is determined to avoid the traditional 24/7 First Lady duties. Instead, she plans to prioritize their son, Barron, who may be attending New York University later this year. Melania is reportedly committed to being close to Barron as he begins college, providing emotional and physical support. “She’s a hands-on mother, and is already planning to spend part of every month — and potentially every week — in NYC,” an insider revealed.

This is not the first time Melania has shown a strong commitment to Barron’s well-being. In 2017, she delayed moving into the White House for five months to allow Barron to complete his school year in New York City uninterrupted. Sources also indicated to the Daily Mail that if Donald Trump wins the presidency again, Melania might not make the White House her primary residence. Instead, she could split her time between Palm Beach and New York City, attending only essential ceremonial events at the White House. This approach would break a long-standing 250-year-old tradition for First Ladies.

Melania has consistently worked to shield Barron from public scrutiny. Insiders noted her displeasure when the Florida Republican Party offered Barron a delegate position for the Republican National Convention. Melania’s office later announced that he would decline the offer “due to prior commitments.”

Reluctance to engage in political activities

Melania’s reluctance to fully immerse herself in political activities has been evident. She has been absent from the campaign trail this year and has not been present at her husband’s ongoing court hearings. As the election approaches, the dynamics within the Trump family and their approach to traditional roles in the White House may continue to evolve, reflecting Melania’s priorities and commitments.
