A Pittsburgh customer walked out of a neighborhood doughnut shop last week with more than a sweet treat — they also scored a $400,000 Cash 5 jackpot.
According to Pennsylvania Lottery officials, a Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket sold at Donut Connection on Brownsville Road in Carrick matched all five numbers in Friday’s drawing.
The Winning Details
- Prize: $400,000 (before taxes and withholdings).
- Claim window: The winner has one year from the drawing date to come forward.
- Location bonus: The shop will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.
Lottery officials said the winner will not be identified until the ticket is validated.

A Donut Connection staffer told reporters Monday that they were unaware of the jackpot winner. Until now, the largest win at the shop had been $5,000.
