Watch: United pilot seen repairing plane window before takeoff

In a bizarre event, a United Airlines pilot casually entered the aircraft and began fixing a window minutes before takeoff.

This almost unprecedented conduct by a pilot stunned the passengers, who questioned whether this was even ‘normal’.

One of the passengers captured the pilot holding a window seal, fixing it, and then double-checking that everything was secure minutes before the flight from Denver to Dallas took off.

“They are literally replacing a ‘window’ with all of us just chilling and sitting here waiting to take off?!?!?” stated a flyer.

While sharing the video, the woman added in her thread, “I have so many questions.” Is this the pilot?!? Should a pilot replace an f-king window?!?! “Is this normal?!”

The video shows a ring of plastic called a bezel, which is cosmetic and not required for the safe operation of the aircraft: United

The footage showed a man fixing the window while wearing a pilot suit with insignia. Later, she expressed her relief that the plane landed safely at its destination.

“Window did not fly off the plane. It’s eclipse season, y’all. Miracles can happen,” said Kristin.

According to a United Airlines spokesman, “The video shows a ring of plastic called a bezel, which is cosmetic and not required for the safe operation of the aircraft.”

There was no word on what type of aircraft was involved, but the bizarre footage was uploaded amid a succession of aviation safety problems that have made headlines, including the door plug blowout case of Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 MAX 9.

The jet was at a height of 16,000 feet when its door plug burst out in a near-fatal mid-flight accident.

The jet made an emergency landing in Portland, Oregon, and had a hole the size of a refrigerator.
