Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI and ChatGPT, married his longtime partner Oliver Mulherin in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii attended by a few friends and family. The couple’s beach wedding photos, which show them in simple white shirts with a flower tucked in the pocket, are gaining popularity on social media.

The couple has kept their relationship private, and they were first seen together in June 2023 at the White House for a dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a September 2023 interview with New York Magazine, Altman stated that he and Mulherin want to have children soon, confirming their relationship.

Altman first made waves when he introduced ChatGPT, causing a storm in the AI world. He also made headlines for a dramatic turn of events when he was fired from his position as CEO of OpenAI by the board and rehired five days later following a social media backlash in which people came forward in support of Altman.

He has once again flooded the internet with photos of his cozy, intimate beach wedding. He reportedly confirmed the wedding in a text message to NBC.

Oliver Mulherin shared the same wedding photos shared by X (formerly Twitter user) @heyBarsee on his private Instagram account and captioned them with adorable little text, writing: “Married my best friend and love of my life”.

Who is Oliver Mulherin, the husband of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman?

Oliver Mulherin, the husband of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has gained attention since their marriage. While Altman’s tech career is well-known, Mulherin has maintained a relatively low profile.

Mulherin was born in Australia and graduated with a computer science degree from the University of Melbourne in 2016. His LinkedIn profile shows a career path in software engineering, with stops at Broadwing, SPARK Neuro, and, most recently, Meta (then Facebook) from 2020 to 2022, spanning his journey from Sydney to San Francisco.

Although the specifics of his projects are unknown, his expertise in software development positions him as a valuable asset to Altman’s world of artificial intelligence, resulting in an adorable tech couple.

Mulherin continues to lead a private life. He rarely makes public appearances or uses social media. This deliberate secrecy allows for speculation, fueling interest in his personal and professional endeavors.
